A 13 de Julho de 1985 teve Lugar o Live Aid com o objetivo de arrecadar fundos em prol dos famintos da Etiópia; Foi uma das maiores transmissões em larga escala por satélite e de televisão de todos os tempos, estima-se que 1,5 bilhão de espectadores, em mais de 100 países, tenham assistido a apresentação ao vivo.
